Orange Honeysuckle

Scientific Name: Lonicera ciliosa
Family Name: Caprifoliacea
Bloom Period: Blooms late spring-early summer
Life Span: Perennial
Height: 6-18 feet tall
Habitat: Found in west side facing forests; sea level to 5500 feet.
Leaf Description: Leaves are deciduous, opposite, green above, whiteish below egg-shaped to oval 1-4 inches long.
Flower and Petal Description: Flowers are held in short, dense, whorled spiked beyond fused leaves at ends of stems. Petal coloration is orange trumpet shaped, with 5 lobes, stamens and stigma protruding.
Fruit Description: Small orange-red berries.
This flower is native to the area.
